Dissatisfied residents of Botun announced the radicalization of the protest at today's rally in front of the plant construction site.
Namely, they announced that they would block the construction of the plant for six hours starting Monday, in a show of rebellion. They added that they would not allow workers to enter the construction site.
They invited Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, as well as the Mayor of Podgorica and the Director of the Water Supply and Sewerage Company, Aleksandar Nišavić, to a meeting to find a solution.
One of the protest participants pointed out that they were forced to take these steps.
"I call on all people of good will to stand with us because this is not a fight for Botun, but a fight for respect for the dignity of the entire Zeta region," said the local resident.
Today's protest was also attended by the president of the Democratic People's Party (DNP), Milan Knežević, as well as the president of the Zeta Municipality, Mihailo Asanović.
Knežević said that their fight has "just begun."
"Let all of Montenegro know that this fight has just begun," said Knežević.
