Podgorica: Driver (72) arrested, driving with 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his blood

Traffic police arrested 41 people in Podgorica over the weekend, 12 of whom were for driving under the influence of alcohol, including three drivers with an alcohol concentration higher than two per mille.

"Namely, the following were arrested: F.D. (72) from Albania who drove with a blood alcohol level of 2.5 per mille, then K.K. (37) from Podgorica with 2.34 per mille, as well as C.I. (32) with a 2.06 profile who caused the accident," the Police Directorate (UP) announced on the X network.

Podgorica police also arrested 22 drivers over the weekend for speeding, five for driving under the influence of drugs, one for refusing a breathalyzer test, and one for failing to stop at a sign.

"65 reports were filed and 278 misdemeanor warrants were issued," the police said.
