MP from the Civic Movement URA Zoran Mikić said that in cases of political murders in Montenegro, the prosecution lacks a proactive approach, which reacted with a "wall of silence" to publicly presented information by two former members of the security sector that ANB and MUP weapons were used for these political assassinations, and that the then state leadership was involved in attacks on journalists and political dissenters.

He expressed his belief that the state will provide justice for all those who were victims of the previous system, and that the state should compensate all victims of political persecution, including the Golootočkas.

Appearing as a guest on the Public Service Broadcasting show Naglas, he commented on Milo Đukanović's refusal to appear before the parliamentary Inquiry Committee and said that it was probably a political assessment so as not to harm his party and family, given the proceedings against his brother.

"Many events from the past that indicate the connection between criminal elements leaning on a part of the DPS leadership do not expire, and considering that many things were said before the Committee, the proactive jurisdiction of the State Prosecutor's Office was necessary. The claims of two former security service officials, who painted Veselin Veljović in the context of giving 2,000 euros to beat up Duško Jovanović, that he asked to be followed, that he asked for some journalists' fingers to be broken, deserved at least a public reaction from the prosecution, and not their wall of silence. This and the actions of the judiciary in some cases are certainly the reason for the public's poor trust in the judiciary," said the URE deputy.

He also advocated for a review of the decision to close the court proceedings before the Higher Court in Podgorica against the former director of the National Security Agency, Dejan Peruničić, which would best show citizens the abuse of office in confrontations with political opponents and so that citizens could see and hear firsthand how the previous regime functioned.
