According to data from the Monteputa website, which manages Sozin, 4.14 million vehicles passed through the tunnel last year.
In 2024, 3.76 million vehicles passed through the tunnel, and in 2023, 3.5 million.
The Sozina Tunnel was opened in July 2005. Its construction cost around EUR 74 million, of which 50 million was provided by Montenegro, while 24 million was provided by a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB).
The Sozina Tunnel is 4.19 thousand meters long and connects the coastal region with the central part of Montenegro.
