On behalf of the Serdar Association, we would like to express our positive opinion on the decision of prime minister Milojko Spajic to temporarily suspend the visa-free regime for Turkish citizens. Incidents that have occurred in the recent period, which have reached their peak in Zabjel, indicate the need for tighter controls on the entry of Turkish citizens into Montenegro.

"Unfortunately, lately we have witnessed unacceptable behavior that has caused discontent and revolt among our people. These incidents not only threaten the safety of the local population, but also undermine the traditional image of our country as a friendly and hospitable destination. Therefore, the decision of prime minister Spajic comes at the right time and shows the awareness of our executive power about the importance of ensuring the safety of all citizens,“ the statement said.

They consider this an important step towards preserving our traditional hospitality.

"But also to protect the interests and safety of our people. While we appreciate the cultural diversity and economic benefits that Turkish tourists bring, it is important to put safety and order first,“ the NGO said.

They called on all relevant institutions to continue to work on improving security and order in our country.

"We also believe that it is necessary to develop strategies for educating and informing citizens about the rights and obligations of tourists, as well as how to act in case of unacceptable behavior. Only in this way can we ensure that Montenegro remains a safe and pleasant destination for all who visit it, and at the same time respect and protect the interests of our citizens,“ the statement concluded.
