"The dog, an 11-year-old golden retriever, was known as a calm and affectionate dog, a favorite of the entire area, loved by his family and neighbors. According to the pathomorphological findings, death occurred instantly due to a blow to the head with a heavy blunt object," said the NGO "Animal House".
They point out that despite the report being filed, the police and prosecutor's office have not taken any concrete steps to date, which further raises concerns about the safety of the family and citizens.
"This failure to act indicates a worrying practice of institutions failing to react in a timely manner when animals are involved, which directly contradicts applicable laws and basic principles of protecting living beings," they added in the statement.
The association requires:
-urgent identification and prosecution of the perpetrator
-transparent and timely action by competent authorities
-protection of a family that feels threatened
The NGO "Animal House" says that such cases must not go unpunished. The association appeals to the competent institutions to act promptly and responsibly, because animals also deserve protection and respect for the law.
"We call on all media to responsibly report on this case and contribute to keeping the public informed, in order to prevent such crimes from remaining unsolved," they concluded in a statement.
