The story of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education is precisely the story of a place where science meets practice, and passion for sports turns into a profession. This is a space where one learns about movement, but also about health, discipline and professionalism.
The fact that the maximum number of students enrolled last year speaks of the great interest of young people in healthy lifestyles, but also of the recognition of this profession as promising on the labor market. We talk about modern trends, improving study programs, developing modern infrastructure and preparing students for different career paths with the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, Prof. Dr. Ivan Vasiljević.

Erasmus programs – an opportunity for the development of students and teaching staff
Through Erasmus programs and international partnerships, the Faculty is increasingly present in the European academic space. To what extent does this open up additional opportunities for students and teaching staff?
Through Erasmus programs and mobility, students gain new professional knowledge and experience at European higher education institutions, which are often better equipped with modern teaching and research equipment. In this way, they have the opportunity to become familiar with and work with more advanced technologies, as well as with various diagnostic and methodological approaches that are applied in the international academic environment. In addition to professional development, students simultaneously improve their language skills, and a certain number of them, upon returning from mobility, acquire an additional foreign language of the country in which they stayed, in addition to their already improved knowledge of English.
Teaching staff, on the other hand, have the opportunity to learn about modern working methods, innovative teaching practices and digital technologies used in higher education through these programs. They later apply the acquired knowledge and experience in the teaching process, thereby contributing to the improvement of the quality of teaching and the development of their own professional competencies. Within the framework of Erasmus+ research projects, students gain their first significant research experience, which enables them to be more competitive in the labor market and to more easily integrate into academic and professional streams.
