Divers from the Regional Center from Bijela continue their search today for a person who fell from a boat after an accident that occurred on May 2 at the exit of the Plavnički Channel on Lake Skadar. Former Zeta and Dečić football player Mladen Kaluđerović died in that accident.
Danilo Mijajlović from the Regional Diving Center said yesterday that the search will be intensified and expanded to a wider area.
He said that in the next phase, specialized underwater equipment, including underwater divers, will be used to enable a more detailed and efficient search of the terrain.
Yesterday, during the day, diving teams searched the accident area at positions determined based on eyewitness accounts. However, as Mijajlović said, due to the conditions in which the accident occurred, information about the accident site is still confusing, which makes it difficult to clearly define the search zone.
It is currently unknown how the accident in the Plavnički Canal in Zeta occurred.
On the occasion of this accident, the Municipality of Zeta has declared today a Day of Mourning.
