Donati Jaku (31) from Shkodra and Florian Gjeta (22) from Domje were arrested. They were stopped during a control in the area known as "Rrethi i Freskut", while they were driving a "Volkswagen" car.

During a search of the vehicle, the police found and seized six Sig Sauer pistols, which are suspected of having been previously smuggled from Montenegro with the intention of being sold in the Tirana area.

Police said they have identified another person in connection with the case and are seeking him. An investigation is underway to determine all the circumstances and a possible wider arms smuggling network.
