Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, at a press conference marking the closing of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum (ADF), strongly condemned Israel's policy, calling it a global security problem, and warned of the formation of new "anti-Islamic" military alliances in the region.

Speaking about the current situation in the Middle East and the war in Gaza, Fidan pointed out that Israel's actions no longer affect only the countries of the region, but the entire world.

"The problem of Israeli expansionism is no longer just a regional one, but has become a global security problem. The question of what methods and how the international community will stop this expansionism is once again one of the main points on the agenda of the international community itself," Fidan said.

He added that he expects positive developments during this process because all international actors share the same concerns.

"No one is able to find an excuse for this Israeli expansionism anymore. It is not sustainable. We are talking about an irrational, fundamentalist government that constantly incites international crises and is the trigger for these crises. It has become a problem for the whole world. Some are trying too hard to link it to Turkey, but it is not just our problem, nor is it just a problem for the region," the head of Turkish diplomacy was categorical.

The policy of depopulation of Gaza and the "anti-Islamic alliance"

The Turkish minister stressed that, despite international efforts, Israel is not giving up on its main goal in the Gaza Strip.

"Everyone knows that Israel's original intention, which is the policy of depopulating Gaza, either by killing its people or expelling them, has not changed," he pointed out.

Fidan also drew attention to Israel's military activities and alliances in the Eastern Mediterranean. He warned that Israel, in cooperation with Greece and Cyprus, is forming a kind of "anti-Islamic alliance" with specific military structures that cannot be ignored.

"In Europe, apart from Greece, there is no country that has signed this type of cooperation. It is not true to say that Turkey is creating unnecessary concerns. Turkey has the power to protect itself," Fidan said, adding that other countries are also looking at this military alliance with caution.

Diplomatic offensive in Antalya

The Antalya Diplomatic Forum, whose theme this year was "Addressing Uncertainty in Designing the Future," brought together a huge number of world officials. According to Fidan, the forum hosted 23 heads of state and government, 50 ministers, and a total of 6,400 participants from 150 countries, making it one of the most important diplomatic events on a global scale.

"During the three days in Antalya, the pulse of global diplomacy beat. We also held the third meeting in the Pakistan-Turkey-Saudi Arabia-Egypt format, where we discussed concrete ways to end regional conflicts and restore stability," Fidan said.

Efforts to extend the ceasefire and the fate of Lebanon

Fidan also addressed the tense situation in Lebanon, stating that the country is once again falling victim to the "merciless claws of war" and Israeli occupation, and said that this must not be allowed.

He also highlighted efforts to ensure energy security and extend the ceasefire, stressing that Turkey is actively pursuing diplomacy to extend the ceasefire between the US and Iran, aware that resolving these problems overnight is not possible.

"Everyone wants the negotiations to continue because no one wants the war to continue. This war has brought unpredictable and irreparable problems to the budgets of many countries. Personally, I believe that the ceasefire process will be extended," Fidan concluded.
