The Security Service of Ukraine announced that its "Alpha" special forces carried out a special operation overnight at the Black Sea Fleet naval base in Sevastopol and at the Belbek military airport in temporarily occupied Crimea.
According to the service, the attack was carried out using combat drones, and the large landing ships of the Russian Navy "Yamal" and "Filchenkov", the reconnaissance ship "Ivan Khurs", as well as the Black Sea Fleet training center "Lukomka" were hit.
Air defense facilities were also targeted, including the air defense forces' radio-technical reconnaissance headquarters and the MR-10M1 Mis-M1 radar system. At Belbek airport, a MiG-31 aircraft and the technical service responsible for its maintenance were hit.
Acting head of the SSU Yevgeny Khmara stated that such operations are aimed at the planned destruction of key elements of Russia's military infrastructure.
"We are methodically destroying key elements of the enemy's military infrastructure - the fleet, aviation, intelligence and air defense," he said, adding that these attacks will continue until Russia ends its aggression against Ukraine.
Ukrainian forces had previously, on April 25 and during the night of April 26, carried out strikes on both an oil refinery in the Russian city of Yaroslavl and air defense systems in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
