The Blues are now 15-5, three wins behind second-place Dubai.
"First of all, congratulations to the visiting team on their well-deserved victory. In the end, they showed their quality, in terms of physical play and individual quality, which turned the game around. We started too slowly, without any fouls. After that, we played better defense in the second quarter and took the lead until halftime. We held on for a while, but in the end, fatigue got to us, the rotation was more difficult, but I repeat, their quality came to the fore. We have to work on our game, Dubai is in good shape and I wish them all the best for the rest of the season," said Budućnost coach Andrej Žakelj at the post-match press conference.
The Slovenian expert believes that his team is giving its maximum.
"We can't be in shape for 10 months. We have problems with injuries and training, so it's harder to fit in, which is also visible on the field. The guys are giving their best, they're trying, but at times we're not as focused and solid as I want," said Žakelj.
On the other hand, Dubai coach Jurica Golemac was, as expected, pleased with his team's triumph.
"Congratulations to my players on a well-deserved victory, we played a very good game after a schedule where we had four games in six days. I was afraid that we would not have the energy and aggression in this game, we knew that Buducnost plays aggressively, but we played very good defense, were serious for all 40 minutes, played team basketball, with passes, defending each other and we deservedly won. I wish all the best to the Buducnost team in the future," said Golemac.
Buducnost will play away to Igokea in the next round, while Dubai will face Red Star Belgrade.
