The current world champion defeated Mauritania more difficult than expected early this morning at the famous "Bombonjera" in Buenos Aires (2:1).
The "Gauchos" took the lead in the 17th minute. Nauel Molina crossed from the right, and Enzo Fernandez ran to the ball from the second plan and from the first from ten meters checked the goalkeeper of the visiting team.
The best moment of the match came in the 32nd minute. Niko Paz, who excels in the Kom jersey, placed the ball about 25 meters from the goal and scored brilliantly, in the style of Lionel Messi, for 2:0.
Messi replaced Paz at half-time, but the magician from Rosario failed to score.
Mauritania eased the defeat in the 94th minute when French Angers defender Jordan Lefort made the best of it after a scramble in the opponent's penalty area.
Argentina will host Zambia in just four days, and that will be Messi's farewell to the home crowd, and in June, according to local media, Luis Scaloni's team will play a pre-World Cup warm-up against Serbia.
The "Gauchos" will play in Group J with Austria, Algeria and Jordan at the upcoming World Cup in Canada, the USA and Mexico.
