Alcaraz and Siner will fight for the trophy at the Monte Carlo Masters, but also for the first place on the ATP list.
The Spaniard, who is defending his title in the Principality, currently leads 10:6 in head-to-head duels, while he is even more convincing on clay – 4:1.
Carlitos is on a 17-match winning streak on the slowest surface, while Janik has won 20 consecutive Masters Series tournaments. The Italian has a chance to become the first player to win the first three Masters events of the year (Indian Wells, Miami and Monte Carlo) since Novak Djokovic in 2015.
On their way to the finals, both lost a set in the round of 16 – Alcaraz to Tomas Martin Echeverria, Siner to Tomas Mahač.
Alkaraz is playing his tenth Masters final and has lost only one so far, while Siner is playing his 12th final, his fifth in a row.
Both have won 27 ATP titles so far, two of which this year.
