In the most important game of the season, SC Derbi had to save itself several times, surviving hell, but after two hours and five minutes of drama, Petar Mijović and his players were able to raise their hands in the air - the "students" defeated Mega 89:85 and handed the bottom spot to Split with two rounds remaining in the ABA League play-offs.

The last-placed team is relegated to the ABA 2 league, and the penultimate team plays a play-off with the finalist from a lower league, so the Podgorica team will try to win more than Borac in the remaining two rounds and avoid additional matches for survival.

The start was desperate – Mega scored the first eight points, and the home team scored their first field goal in the 4th minute, when Matic Rebec made a three-pointer to reduce the score to 4:8.

The first equalizer at the end of the 1st quarter was brought by Nikola Pavlićević, who then hit a three-pointer at the start of the 2nd quarter to make it 24:24. Rebec then scored from the same distance for the first lead, and Aleksa Ilić concluded the excellent quarter for the "students" with a dunk and Pavlićević with a fourth three-pointer for plus 10 at the big break.

It was 82:83, then Rebec made a three-pointer, and Drežnjak increased the lead to 87:83 on a counterattack and announced the victory. When Darius Johnson, after a turnover by Andrej Mušicky, increased the lead to 89:83 on the next attack, the match was decided...
