The Montenegrin women's football team was defeated by Albania at the City Stadium in Nikšić (2:1) at the start of Group 1 of the UEFA Nations League B.

All three goals were seen below.

Our ladies took the lead in the 68th minute through captain Armisa Kuč, who effectively scored from five or six meters down the stretch after Selma Ličina's cross from the right.

The joy of the "Falcons" lasted less than two minutes, because today the phenomenal Megi Doci brought things back to "the beginning" with a great goal after a cross from Kvendreša Krasniqi.

The same player signed a complete turnaround with a fantastic goal from a free kick in the 76th minute.

The second period was much more eventful, and the Montenegrins could have taken the lead at the very start of the second half when Kuč connected Jasna Đoković with a masterful pass through the middle, but she sent the ball into the outer part of the net.

With the score tied at 0:0, the guests posed a dangerous threat when Ajša Kalač first saved Gresa Berisha's shot, and then "took down" Doca's lob attempt.

We also hit the goal frame, and after a long break due to injury, Slađana Bulatović returned to the field, replacing Maša Tomašević in the 80th minute, but our captain did not help her teammates avoid defeat.

Mirko Marić's team will visit Wales in Swansea in four days.
