Sutjeska basketball players took a big step towards reaching the playoff semifinals, after defeating Lovćen 1947 in Cetinje with 99:74 (22:13, 28:23, 25:18, 24:20) in the first playoff match, so the rematch in Nikšić next Saturday will probably be just a formality. From the very beginning, the Nikšić team held all the strings of the game in their hands, they dictated a fierce rhythm and with a great game and a convincing victory, they made a nice overture before the rematch of the ABA 2 League playoff semifinals, in which they will chase a break against TFT on Wednesday in Skopje.

Guest coach Marko Simonović divided the minutes among all his players, and the most efficient was Tadija Tadić with 16 points. Bogdan Bojić and Ilija Varajić also had double-digit performances with 14 each, Xavier Williams with 12 and Zdravko Bošković with 11 points. Miloš Latković – 20, Milutin Đukanović – 15, Kingsley Perkins – 11 and Stefan Adžić 10 scored double-digit points for the home team. The more successful team from this two-match series will face SC Derbi as their rival.

The second pair in the play-in is much more uncertain. Third-placed Mornar Barsko zlato defeated second-placed Primorje 1945 tonight in "Topolica" with a score of 99:87 (20:23, 28:29, 23:115, 28:20), so the team from Novalja faces a difficult task to make up for the minus 12 in the return match.

The most deserving player for the victory for coach Mihailo Pavićević's team was Mason Allston with 32 points and nine assists. Viktor Vujisić achieved a double-double performance with 15 points and 10 rebounds, Alija Islamović scored 15 points with nine rebounds, the same as Petar Krivokapić, while Christopher Austin finished the match with 12 points.
