Turkish Eurohoops reports that Galatasaray have reached an agreement with the Montenegrin playmaker, who spent the last two seasons with Italian side Brescia. According to the same source, Ivanovic is set to strengthen the Turkish giants' defense for the 2026/27 season.
Although he said goodbye to the national team last summer, at the club level, Ivanovic continues to hold a serious European address.
He played a notable role in Brescia this season, averaging 12.6 points and 4.5 assists in 27 games in the Italian championship.
Ivanovic has already gone through different basketball environments and systems throughout his career. In Buducnost, he grew up, matured and left a deep mark, being part of the generations that had a special connection with the audience in "Morača", and later played for Crvena zvezda, Runa and Brescia, before wearing the jerseys of Mega, AEK and Orlando in his first departure from Podgorica.
Galatasaray gets an experienced point guard, a player who can organize, shoot from the outside and keep the rhythm of the game. Ivanovic gets a new big stage, a basketball city that wants results right away and a club that wants to strengthen the team for challenges in Turkey and Europe. The team from Istanbul is often mentioned as one of the participants in the NBA Europe project.
However, the Turkish club is not the only one looking for our former national team player. Olimpija Milano is also interested in his services, and would like to expand their depth in the rotation on the outside line by signing Ivanovic.
