Young water polo players impressed in Budva: Sava wins title, Jadran runner-up

Six clubs from the region participated in the tournament – ​​Sava Šabac, Jadran M:tel, Primorac, Partizan, Radnički and Budva BR (the tournament host). The five rounds saw exceptionally high-quality and uncertain matches, a large number of goals and confirmation that regional water polo continues to produce top young talents.

Team Sava finished the competition with a maximum performance of five wins from five games and deservedly won first place with 15 points. Second place went to team Jadran M:tel, while third place was taken by Primorac.

Our representatives have once again shown that Montenegrin water polo has an exceptionally high-quality base of young players and continuity of work in the younger categories.

Jadran M:tel achieved a great result by winning second place with four wins and only one loss. The Herceg Novi team showed very high-quality and efficient water polo, scoring as many as 85 goals during the tournament, which placed them among the most efficient teams in the finals. The victories over Primorac and Budva, as well as excellent games throughout the tournament, stand out in particular. Jadran suffered its only defeat against the champion Sava, which confirmed first place in a direct duel.

Primorac won third place. Primorac recorded two wins and three losses, but showed fighting spirit and character throughout the tournament. The victory over Budva was especially important, as was the good performance against quality regional opponents.

Budva BR finished the tournament in sixth place, but despite the final placement, they showed that they have young players with great potential. For this young team, participating in such a high-quality regional tournament is a valuable experience for the further development of the players and the club.

The organization of the tournament in Budva was at a high level, and over the course of three days, the audience was able to enjoy excellent matches and a large number of talented young water polo players from across the region.

The Water Polo Junior Regional League once again confirmed the importance of the regional competition system for the development of younger categories and the improvement of the quality of water polo in the countries of the region.
