The tournament will bring together 128 competitors from more than 15 European countries, with a prize pool of 15,000 euros, which makes it one of the most significant and high-quality billiards events in the region and beyond. The competition is given special weight by the fact that three former world champions have already confirmed their participation, as well as several players from the very top of the European rankings.
The event represents an important step towards obtaining the prestigious European "High Ranking" license, which could position Podgorica among the hosts of the most important European billiard competitions in the coming years and further contribute to the development of sports tourism in Montenegro.
–We invite media representatives to attend the opening ceremony of the tournament, which will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the “Sahat Kugla” Billiards Club in Podgorica. During the opening, the project goals, plans for the future development of billiards in Montenegro, as well as activities aimed at bringing the largest European and world competitions to Podgorica will be presented. We will be pleased to host journalists and present one of the most important sports events to be held in the capital this year, announced the Organizing Committee of the "Podgorica Open" tournament, in which Dragan-Gašo Kadić, Igor Janković and Aleksandar Korać.
