Usvajanjem Nacrta Programa pristupanja Crne Gore Evropskoj uniji za period 2026–2027, Vlada Crne Gore potvrdila je da se usvajanje Zakona o pravnom prepoznavanju rodnog identiteta na osnovu samoodređenja nalazi među prioritetnim mjerama za zatvaranje najvažnijih pregovaračkih poglavlja sa Evropskom Unijom. Ovim programom Crna Gora se obavezala na usvajanje zakona o samoodređenju do kraja drugog kvartala, te na početak njegove implementacije u trećem kvartalu tekuće godine, saopšteno je iz Asocijacije Spektra.
