Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) MP Nikola Rakočević has resigned from the position of Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro.

"We will not participate in simulating democracy, and that is why I am resigning from the position of Deputy Speaker of the Parliament," Rakočević said at a press conference.

He said that resigning from that position was only the first in a series of responses to, as he stated, the government's anti-European and undemocratic behavior.
