Bad news has arrived from Madrid for Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti, as it is increasingly certain that Eder Militao will not play in the upcoming World Cup.

The Real Madrid defender has suffered a muscle injury to his left leg, and additional examinations have shown that it is a more serious problem than initially thought.

According to Spanish media, there is a high probability that Militao will have to undergo surgery, which would keep him off the field for several months and practically eliminate him from the World Cup. The problem is further complicated by the fact that it is an injury that has already caused problems before, so recovery is uncertain.

Militao has had serious health issues in previous seasons, including serious knee injuries that kept him out of the game. His absence would be a major blow to Brazil, where he is considered a key player in the defense.
