During the conversation, the topics that young people are most interested in were discussed — from education and mobility to employment and their role in decision-making. A special focus was on the concrete opportunities that are already available to young people today through programs such as Erasmus+, the European Solidarity Corps and other initiatives that encourage learning, exchange and professional development. Minister Gorčević presented the Government's plan for closing the chapters and fulfilling the European Union criteria, explaining what the optimism is based on that Montenegro can become the next member of the European Union.
During her conversation with young people, Kos emphasized the importance of their role in Montenegro's European future and praised their enthusiasm and willingness to actively participate in decision-making and the development of society.
"Montenegro is in the final stages of negotiations for EU membership. These young people will be the first generation to have all the opportunities that membership in the European Union brings to Montenegro. I am impressed by how eager they are to get involved and shape the future of their country," said Kos.
"The event was organized by the Ministry of European Affairs with the support of the EU4ME project, as part of the official visit of Commissioner Marta Kos to Montenegro," the Ministry's statement concluded.
