Tvrdnje o navodnoj aneksiji Crne Gore od strane Srbije nakon 1918. godine, koje se već decenijama pojavljuju u političkom i medijskom prostoru, nisu u saglasnosti sa istorijskim činjenicama o administrativnoj organizaciji Kraljevine Srba, Hrvata i Slovenaca. Prva podjela Kraljevine SHS na privremene pokrajine (1918.–1922.) jasno pokazuje da je Crna Gora postojala kao zasebna pokrajina, a ne kao dio pokrajine Srbije. Isto važi i za oblasti Srema, Bačke i Baranje.
