The director of the Podgorica Waterworks, Aleksandar Nišavić, told the RTV Podgorica Portal that they were informed by the security personnel and the contractor at the construction site where the SPOV is being built in the KAP industrial zone that in the early morning hours, a construction machine engaged in excavations caught fire.
"In accordance with the procedure, the contractor's representatives reported this case to the competent authorities and filed reports, and I hereby appeal to the competent institutions to react as soon as possible," Nišavić pointed out.
He says that it is clear that the organized protests do not relate to the blockade of the road, but to the specific prohibition of employees at the construction site from accessing the workplace and performing their work activities in accordance with the Law.
"This case has also been reported to the competent authorities, and we also expect a quick reaction, analogous to the actions taken in a similar situation that occurred in the Municipality of Nikšić. It is clear that this is a case of autocracy and vandalism by a number of people in relation to the entire system and the implementation of the most important state projects, and therefore a reaction from the competent authorities is necessary as soon as possible," Nišavić told the RTV Podgorica Portal.
