Students from the "Štampar Makarije" Elementary School launched their first podcast - they were supported by the school administration, and the management of RTV Podgorica decided to give young authors a space in our program.

The students' idea also received support from the school administration.

"We supported the students' idea to organize and establish a podcast at school where we will put the focus, the school, in a modern way, where we will be able to present all their activities, ideas they have, their creativity, their work to the wider community," said the director of the "Štampar Makarije" elementary school, Novica Gačević.

The administration says that it is important to adapt the teaching environment to the habits of younger generations and the ways in which they communicate and create content today.

"These are modern tools and we must use them to achieve our goals. We must monitor the environment of our students and our generations, we must adapt, we must monitor it for the benefit of course of our students and their creativity that they express," Gačević emphasized.

A small team that has already mastered the basics of recording and working in a studio environment is responsible for the technical part.

"The podcast will deal with topics that concern us students, school, and everything that comes with growing up," said podcast host Sofija Vidić.

The podcast's cameraman, Petar Delibašić, said that they have three cameras and that it is not difficult to work.

"I'm really looking forward to it, we have the support of my friends and everyone from the administration and teachers, so I can't wait," said Delibašić.

And initiatives like this combine education and media in the best way.

"Here you are one of those, by chance I was your teacher in Tivat, at the 'Drago Milović' Elementary School, where we left impressions and you and I have come to the positions we have today, I being the school principal, you a journalist, and that we support each other and help others and promote others and work for the benefit not only of the school but also of the community, society and the state," said Gačević.

The school believes that such initiatives show how important cooperation between education and the media can be for young people. Among them may already be someone who will one day be our colleague.
