He is suspected of committing this criminal offense on April 6th, also to the detriment of a minor, after which he addressed life-threatening words to the injured party with the aim of preventing her from reporting the incident.
"The prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje, who was informed of the incident, ordered that the suspected minor be deprived of his liberty, and he was brought before the acting prosecutor within the legal deadline for further jurisdiction, along with a criminal report," the Police Directorate said.
The UP appeals to the public and the media to report on these and similar cases responsibly and in accordance with ethical principles, with full respect for the rights and dignity of minors.
"In accordance with current legislative regulations, in procedures involving minors, a special level of protection of their rights is ensured, as the most vulnerable category of society, with the mandatory participation of legal representatives and professionals, as well as the conduct of the procedure with full discretion, whereby we emphasize that the law prohibits the official publication of the identities of minors in the media," concludes the statement from the Police Directorate.
