"Officers of the Budva Security Department today, in cooperation with officers of the Bar Security Department, and on the order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor, deprived VJ (62) from Budva of his liberty for grossly insulting journalist MS and citizen VL," the Police Directorate announced.
The Police Directorate also states that Stojović and Laković filed a report after Janjušević sent them a series of offensive comments on the social network Facebook.
"Police officers immediately acted upon the report and identified VJ, from whom information was collected for the record in the official premises of the Bar Security Department," the Police Directorate emphasized.
As TVPG has learned, the prosecutor in Bar classified the act as "Incitement of racial and national hatred", but the state prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor, who acted within local jurisdiction, qualified the event as a misdemeanor under Article 7, paragraph 2 of the Law on Public Order and Peace (gross insult and particularly insolent behavior) and ordered that Janjušević be deprived of his liberty, and that the case files be delivered to him in order to submit a request to initiate misdemeanor proceedings against this person to the competent Misdemeanor Court.
Janjušević posted a series of offensive comments, and TVPG publishes some of them:
