Officers of the Border Police Sector - Border Police Station I Ulcinj last night, while attempting to enter Montenegro, deprived MG (35), a citizen of Kosovo, of her liberty, and found cocaine and marijuana on her person, the Police Directorate announced.

"Namely, at the "Sukobin" Border Crossing, yesterday, April 10, 2026, at around 8:45 p.m., border police officers, with the involvement of a service dog, who tagged her purse she was holding, searched MG, which found a package containing cocaine. Upon further inspection, a box containing marijuana was found under the clothes she was wearing," the police announced.

The drugs were preliminarily tested and weighed. It was determined that the packages contained 0.58 grams of cocaine and 5.89 grams of marijuana.

"The state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed about everything, and she stated that this was not a criminal offense, but a misdemeanor," the police said.

The suspect MG has been deprived of her liberty and will be brought to the competent Court for Misdemeanors, along with a misdemeanor charge, for a violation of the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.
