On that occasion, it was announced that the works are proceeding according to plan and that all conditions have been created for the continuation of the implementation of one of the most significant infrastructure investments in the city.
The project involves the Municipality of Pljevlja and the Electric Power Company of Montenegro, while the works are being carried out by the company "Intermost". A representative of the contractor said that the project has entered the full intensity phase and that all preparatory work has been completed.
"The project has started at full capacity. The construction site is organized into four attack points. We have delivered all the materials and necessary equipment, including specific pipes for the heating system, which have already begun to be unloaded. There is no reason why the project cannot be completed within the deadline we have foreseen, and we are optimistic that it can be completed even before the planned deadline," said Šljivancanin.
He also emphasized the importance of local government support.
"The Municipality of Pljevlja with all its services is at our disposal. They are with us in the field every day and help to solve any problems on the fly. This is a pioneering project in Montenegro - the first phase has been completed, and now we are continuing with the second and third. We hope to cut the ribbon together in a year," he said.
The President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Dario Vraneš, said that the local government expects the works to be completed within the scheduled deadline.
"The construction site is open, and the second and third phases have already begun. Today, all participants in the project are on the ground - representatives of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Elektroprivreda and Thermal Power Plant. We toured the route and made sure that the material has been delivered and that the works have started," said Vraneš.
He emphasized that the Municipality had completed all obligations that were within its jurisdiction.
"The Municipality of Pljevlja has completed its part of the work one hundred percent. The Property Directorate has completed the expropriation. The building permit has been obtained and we are now continuing with the implementation of the project," said Vranes.
He particularly praised the cooperation with project partners, including Elektroprivreda and the contractor.
"I must emphasize the very good cooperation with representatives of the Electric Power Company and the Thermal Power Plant, and especially with the contractor - the company "Intermost", which has previously implemented large projects in Pljevlja. We are very satisfied with the cooperation and I am confident that the project will be completed within the planned deadline," said Vraneš.
He added that a technical solution has been found according to which one part of the heating pipeline will be placed underground, while the other will be above ground.
"The Municipality of Pljevlja has provided absolute support and we will be on the ground every day to help the contractor ensure that the work continues without interruption," concluded Vraneš.
