U posljednjih pet godina, prema zvanično dostupnim podacima, ukupno je završeno 2.227 postupaka vantjelesne oplodnje. Ipak, stručnjaci apeluju da je u liječenju neplodnosti presudno javiti se na vrijeme i ne odlagati pregled.
