NGO Arlekin continues its mission of creating a safe space for dialogue on the most important social issues. This year's conference, under the slogan "A step closer to a society without violence", will be held on March 27th and 28th in the ceremonial hall of the "Slobodan Škerović" High School in Podgorica.

Montenegrin society today desperately needs an open and professional discussion about the phenomenon of peer violence, without pressure and with clear guidelines for response. This is exactly the kind of space that the NGO "Arlekin" is opening through a two-day program focused on recognition, prevention and providing concrete support to students, parents and teachers.

The conference is designed as a platform that connects all key stakeholders in the educational process and offers an expert program for students, parents, and teachers.

· Day 1 (March 27): The focus is on students in grades 7, 8, and 9. The program includes lectures on the phenomena of violence, from verbal and physical to digital, along with work on building a positive school climate and media literacy.

· Day 2 (March 28): The program is aimed at parents and educators. Topics will include the relationship between control and freedom in parenting, as well as psychotherapeutic sessions to share personal experiences and support strategies.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn from prominent experts in the fields of psychology and communication, including Dr. Ana Mirković, a communication specialist, who will open a dialogue on building digital immunity and resistance to online violence, and Gordana Medenica, a psychotherapist, who will lead sessions dedicated to emotional support and overcoming trauma. Both have extensive experience in working on the prevention of peer violence.

"We want to be one step closer to acceptance and true values, creating a space for authentic exchange between generations and experts," emphasizes Ivona Čović Jaćimović, executive director of the NGO Arlekin.

The conference is organized by the NGO Arlekin, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, as well as the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation. The project coordinator is Jelena Šoškić.

Admission to all programs is free, with the note that the number of places is limited.
