Nešto manje medijski primijećeno pred novogodišnje praznike, ozvaničenje završetka radova na izgradnji prve faze obaloutvrde između dva gradska mosta u Beranama, već tokom poslednjih poplava pokazalo je punu funkcionalnu vrijednost ovog velikog međunarodnog projekata. Dok su se, naime, drugi gradovi u Crnoj Gori borili sa posljedicama velikih vodostaja, novoizgrađena obaloutvrda u Beranama izdržala je sve testove u ekstremnim vremenskim prilikama, a neznatno oštećenje u garantnom roku, kako je saopšteno iz Opštine Berane, predstavlja nešto što nije za brigu i što će biti lako za sanaciju.
