When it comes to the United Arab Emirates, where certain commercial and charter flights have begun, they note that airspace remains limited for wider traffic.
"The flights currently operating are exclusively for passengers who previously stayed at the airports, as well as those who already have tickets purchased with Emirates, FlyDubai and Etihad. These passengers will be contacted directly by their airlines," the statement said.
Citizens of Montenegro are recommended not to go to airports unless they have been previously informed and invited to the flight, and to remain in their places of residence and regularly monitor notifications from their airlines regarding any changes to travel dates.
"In addition, the Ministry, through the competent diplomatic and consular missions, is in regular communication with Montenegrin citizens who are in all other countries in the Middle East and who are interested in evacuation," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Taking into account the complexity of the situation, which primarily relates to the closure of airspace in the affected countries, the Ministry is reviewing all available options for providing support to Montenegrin citizens and is considering all steps aimed at their possible evacuation.
„U slučaju potrebe za konzularnom podrškom ili hitnim situacijama, građani se mogu obratiti nadležnim diplomatsko-konzularnim predstavništvima Crne Gore, čiji su dežurni brojevi dostupni 24 časa dnevno na linku: https://www.gov.me/clanak/servisna-informacija-ministarstva-vanjskih-poslovapovodom-bezbjednosne-situacije-na-bliskom-istoku“, navode iz Ministarstva.
Embassies and consular missions remain in constant communication with local authorities and continue to provide timely information and support to Montenegrin citizens.
