Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Ervin Ibrahimović had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani about the current security situation in the Middle East and their broader implications.

"During the conversation, it was assessed that it was necessary to prevent further deterioration of the situation and direct international efforts towards calming tensions. Ibrahimović pointed out that Tehran's moves carry the risk of further deepening the crisis and moving the region away from stability," the MFA said.

The Minister emphasized that Montenegro supports all legitimate activities that contribute to the protection of the civilian population, the preservation of state sovereignty and the security of vital systems in the region.
