The second match is scheduled for June 4th (also at 7 pm), and the date of the eventual winner will be determined later. The title is being defended by Buducnost.
"I expect the maximum and professional approach from the players. We have great respect for the SC Derby team, which had enough time to prepare and train after a long break. They will certainly be extremely motivated. After the ABA League semi-final series with Dubai, we have to be fully focused on the matches that await us in the final. We know SC Derby well and there are not many unknowns there, but, as I already said, we need to show our quality, be aggressive and physically ready. The matches against Dubai were not easy, and now we are playing without half the team, so the roles will change somewhat. However, regardless of the circumstances, we have to give our maximum and try to win the title," emphasized Andrej Žakelj.
Coach Petar Mijović points out that more than a month without competitive matches has left its mark on the team, which, despite personnel problems, will try to give its maximum against the big favorite for the title.
"We are facing a specific situation. We have been without competitive games for more than a month, which has certainly affected the team's condition in relation to the end of the season. Many players who were part of the roster at the end of the ABA League will not be in the squad for the final series against Buducnost and objectively, without a competitive rhythm and games over a longer period of time, it is very difficult to assess our condition and what we can expect just through training," emphasized coach Petar Mijović.
