Šeldon thanked Ćulafić for the quality cooperation and expressed his belief that the continuity of successful activities will continue with the new leadership of the World Bank.
Ćulafić wished him much success in his new position, expressing his belief that the experience gained in Montenegro will be valuable in his further professional engagement.
"The partnership with the World Bank has brought concrete results for Montenegro, and I am convinced that we will continue successful cooperation in the coming period, with the new leadership of the organization," said Minister Ćulafić.
The interlocutors agreed that successful cooperation is confirmed by projects, especially those related to the construction of the Regional Center in Nikšić and the rehabilitation of the hazardous waste landfill in the KAP zone.
Sheldon emphasized that the processes are underway, and that there are currently no open issues that could affect their implementation. He emphasized that a coordinated approach by all parties involved remains imperative for the successful implementation of the projects.
The meeting also discussed the European integration process, with a special focus on the challenges within Chapter 27 – Environment and Climate Change. The development of the north of the country and water supply projects to be implemented in that part of Montenegro were also discussed.
"Sheldon said that he would convey to his deputy the positive experiences of cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development, and would particularly emphasize the engagement of Minister Ćulafić and his associates for the progress and implementation of joint projects," the ministry concluded in a statement.
