Milović: Instead of reducing excise duties, we got more expensive fuel

The government has once again reached into the pockets of citizens; instead of real support and the announced reduction in excise duties, we have received a new "correction" which in practice means more expensive fuel and an additional blow to the household budget, said DPS Secretary General and MP Nikola Milović.

"It's clear that the coffers are empty, but it's devastating that the burden is once again being shifted to those who are already barely making ends meet," Milović said on the social network X.

Such decisions, according to him, show that citizens are not a priority, but a source for patching holes in the budget.

"If even minimal assistance is presented as a luxury, then it is clear how far this government is from reality. It seems that even the symbolic five million in support for citizens has become unattainable for such a parliamentary majority," Milović concluded.
