The Budućnost Bemaks basketball team continued their dominance on the domestic scene. The team from Podgorica won their 14th consecutive Montenegrin championship title after two convincing wins in the play-off finals against Sea Stars, who reached two finals in their debut season in the senior competition. After a 122:55 loss in the first match at home, coach Petar Stojanović's players celebrated tonight in Tivat with a 50-point difference - 73:123 (17:28, 19:40, 17:29, 20:26) and thus achieved their 12th consecutive double crown without defeat.

After five minutes, the scoreboard read 19:2, and it was already clear that the game would go in one direction. The central figure of the match was Ksenija Šćepanović, who was one assist short of a triple-double, as she had a performance of 23 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists for a utility index of as much as 44. On the other side, American Tanja Hill stood out with 23 points and 14 steals.

The winning trophy was presented to captain Zorana Radonjić by Darko Ivanović, Secretary General of KSCG.

– Buducnost has been recognized for years as a team that is a locomotive when it comes to developing women's basketball in Montenegro. Therefore, trophies on the domestic scene are somehow like an obligation. After the Cup and obligations in the WABA League, we focused on domestic competition. We played without a foreigner, in rotation with several cadets, but with clear ambitions to confirm our dominance. After a long season in which there were a lot of personnel problems, it is nice to put an end to it with a title, said the strategist of Podgorica, Petar Stojanović.
