"Falcons" coach Mirko Vučinić said after the match with Andorra that everything is easier when you win, even though the game was not at the desired level.
Partizan midfielder Milan Vukotić has a similar opinion.
"We did an analysis. The most important thing is that we achieved victory. We saw that we were motivated and eager to play. Maybe the passing game was not as it should be, but that's why we are here to show through these friendly matches that we can prove ourselves to the coach as individuals, but also as a team," said Vukotić at today's briefing with reporters.
Unlike Montenegro, Slovenia lost to Hungary in Budapest two days ago (1:0), and Boštjan Cezar's team is without a triumph in its last seven games.
"A quality team, with a lot of good individuals. It's a friendly match, but that doesn't mean we should relax. We have to give our all and if possible win the match," says the former Buducnost and Dinamo Zagreb player.
"Zmajček" won two matches against "Sokol", while one match ended in a draw, and they come to Podgorica without their top stars Benjamin Šešek and Jan Oblak.
"Their national team is good, regardless of the fact that they are not here. They all play in the top leagues. I repeat, they are of good quality, it is up to us to work and enter the match ready," Vukotić points out.
The 23-year-old from Podgorica also commented on the historic success of our cadet football team, which qualified for the European and World Championships. Previously, the youth team also qualified for the EURO.
"A great success for all of us. The boys were extraordinary. Kudos to the entire generation. I hope that the Montenegrin public will be delighted with everything that the national football team contributes and will contribute to in the future. We are here as young boys to do our best to make Montenegro happy," said Vukotić.
When asked if it was time for the senior national team to finally compete in a major competition, he had a ready answer:
"I think it's time," Vukotić emphasized.
His Partizan started the season well, was first for a long time, and lately it has been in a crisis of results, but also of games.
"We are a strong young team, we knew there would be ups and downs. It was expected that this would happen, but we are now looking to get back on the winning track," Vukotić is optimistic.
