There is no end to the troubles for Real Madrid - Brazilian striker Rodrigo has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and his season is over.

This means that Rodrigo will miss the upcoming World Cup.

He was injured last night in the match against Getafe, when he left the field in the 36th minute. After detailed examinations, the dark premonitions came true, reports the always reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, referring to the Spanish Marca.

Rodrigo has missed nine matches this season, both due to injury and suspension, and in 19 appearances in La Liga, he has scored one goal and recorded three assists.

This is also a heavy blow for coach Alvaro Arbeloa, who will likely have to do without Kylian Mbappe in March, so his only attacking options are Gonzalo Garcia and Vinicius Junior, while Mastantuono is suspended due to a red card in the previous match.

The "Kings" have not been doing well lately, they have suffered two defeats in a row in La Liga, and in the Champions League they face a two-legged tie with Manchester City in the round of 16.
