Turković: Budget revenues for January 2026 at a higher level than planned by around 200,000 euros

Most people read the headline and move on, but what is most important for citizens is to know that budget revenues for January 2026 were achieved at a higher level than planned by around 200,000 euros, and compared to 2025, they are higher by around 5.9 million euros, announced State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Tarik Turković.

He reacted to the announcement by a member of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Elvira Zvrka who said that the shocking data was that the budget deficit in January was 33.2 million euros.

"Another thing, the planned deficit in January 2026 is 113.6 million euros, which means that the deficit of 33.2 million is better than the plan by a full 80 million euros," Turković pointed out.
