- The US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil shipping route, began at 4pm CET on Monday. Foreign ships are denied access to Iranian ports, but ships from non-Iranian ports will not be affected, the US military said.
- Thus, US President Donald Trump's threat was fulfilled after the failed marathon US-Iranian negotiations in Pakistan.
- "The Iranian Navy is at the bottom of the sea, 158 ships have been destroyed. We did not target the smaller assault ships, because they are not a major threat. I warn you - if any of these ships come close to our blockade - they will be eliminated," Trump said on the social network Trut.
- Iran responds with a warning. "American ships that try to block Iranian ports will be sent to the bottom of the sea," said a member of Iran's Foreign Policy and National Security Committee.
- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said more than 250 Hezbollah operatives were killed over the past week in Lebanon, including several senior commanders.

CNN: US officials discuss possible second meeting with Tehran
US President Donald Trump's administration officials are discussing internally the details of a potential second, direct meeting with Iranian officials before the end of a ceasefire between Washington and Tehran next week, if the opportunity arises, a well-informed source told CNN.
The source said officials are considering potential dates and locations if ongoing talks with Iran and regional mediators progress in the coming days.
"We need to be ready to propose something quickly, if things go in that direction," the source said.
