Citing research by Danish Radio (DR), SRF writes on its website that as part of NATO's January exercise in Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark, large quantities of explosives and blood supplies were delivered to the island.
Blood from hospital reserves was for possible treatment of the wounded, and in the event of an attack, Denmark planned to use explosives to blow up the runways of the airport in Greenland to prevent the landing of American soldiers.
The US ambassador to Denmark reacted to the DR's revelations by saying that Trump only said that he needed Greenland for security reasons, but that he never intended to implement it militarily.
An SRF correspondent from Denmark claims, however, that fears of US military action remain high, heightened by the US war with Iran.
The recent emergence of an American nuclear submarine from the sea just off the Greenland capital of Nuuk has added to the fear.
"A large cruise ship full of European NATO soldiers is now moored at the dock in Nuuk," the correspondent said, and the entrance to the harbor is being monitored on all the hills around the city.
According to the journalist, the increased military presence in Nuuk is not noticeable at first glance, but every day you can see a few people in uniform.
In addition, large groups of people between 20 and 30 years old regularly jog through the city, who run even when the temperature is minus 20, and who are therefore certainly not locals because this is not done in Greenland in such weather, said the SRF correspondent.
