Bojana Gojković and Tomislav Đinović won the top medal, while Radisav Lončar won the silver medal.
Bojana Gojković won the gold medal in the 60 kg category after a fantastic match against the European champion Kristina Kuluhova, a Russian boxer who competes under the Serbian flag. In an exceptionally high-quality and dynamic fight, the Montenegrin boxer constantly shortened the distance, collected points and ultimately celebrated with a split decision of the judges 3:2, thus deservingly defeating her rival who won the European gold medal in the 63 kg category.
Tomislav – Bato Đinović also won the gold medal, defeating Greek Georgius Pleas by unanimous decision in the final of the 60 kg category. Interestingly, the Montenegrin boxer won the first two rounds with a score of 4:1, with only the Greek judge giving the advantage to the competitor from his country in both rounds.
The silver medal was won by the young Radisav Lončar, who was defeated in the final of the 85 kg category by the more experienced German Delil Dadayev. Dadayev started aggressively from the very beginning and forced the referee to count at the end of the first round, after which Lončar's coach, Boško Drašković, decided to surrender the match.
Thus, all Montenegrin boxers who competed in the finals of the tournament won medals, as Miloš Roganović also won the bronze medal the day before.
Coach Nikola Ružić was very pleased with the performance of his players.
-I am extremely proud of all our boxers. They showed quality, fighting spirit and a big heart in the ring. The medals won are the result of dedicated work and proof that Montenegrin boxing has a bright future. This tournament was a tough test, and our competitors passed it in the best possible way, said Nikola Ružić.
