Boston will be without experienced center Nikola Vučević for the upcoming period, after the Montenegrin international underwent surgery on his right finger.

As announced by the club, Vučević will be out of action for about a month.

The Celtics hope that Vučević will recover in time to be ready for the start of the playoffs.

His condition will be reassessed in three to four weeks, or early April, following surgery performed today to stabilize a fractured finger on his right hand.

Vučević suffered the injury on Friday evening during the game against Dallas.

The Celtics center left the floor in the first quarter after injuring his hand and headed to the locker room.

A little later, the club confirmed that it was a broken finger.

The Celtics currently have a record of 42–21 and are in second place in the Eastern Conference standings.
