Marko Simonović's team took their first step towards the semifinals seven days ago in front of their fans, when, after a great fight and overtime, they defeated Sloboda from Tuzla (96:94) and took a 1:0 lead in the series.
Tonight at 8 pm the same rivals will meet in Tuzla.
If the Montenegrin representative wins, they will advance to the semifinals, and otherwise, the final will be played in Nikšić on April 1st.
"I expected the first match to be difficult, that there would be nerves and emotions. The match was of exceptional quality, the people had something to see. Both we and they played a good match. We are going to Tuzla with a clear goal - to win. We are not going to change anything compared to the first match. We will see if they continue to shoot like that," said Sutjeska coach Marko Simonović in the match announcement.
The winner of this match will be Zlatibor or TFT (1:1 in the series).
"I want to thank all the people who came to the previous game. We won with a Filip Barović basket in the last second of overtime, which gives us additional motivation before the game in Tuzla. They are playing at home, the pressure is on them, they are losing 1:0. We have to make the best of it and finish the job in Tuzla," said Sutjeska basketball player Goran Gajović.
This will be the third match between Sutjeska and Sloboda in the last 20 days.
"This is our third game against Sutjeska in the last 20 days, so we know each other very well and there will be no big surprises in the game. In the last week, we played two exhausting games in overtime, so we are quite worn out, but I believe that by Wednesday evening we will manage to recover and prepare to give our maximum. With the support of our fans, we can achieve victory and thus secure a championship in Nikšić," said Sloboda coach Marko Trbić.
Sani Čampara shone last Wednesday with 24 points and 10 assists.
"We have the second game of the ABA2 League quarterfinals against the excellent team Sutjeska waiting for us. There is a positive atmosphere within the team and we are ready to equalize in Mejdan, with the help of our audience, and bring the series back to Nikšić. It goes without saying how much we will miss Tomašević on the court, but I believe that if we stick together, we will make up for his contribution to our team. I would like to call on all the people in Tuzla to support us and help us in a very important game for us," said Čampara.
