Carlos Alcaraz's injury situation has become even more complicated, with his participation at Roland Garros in doubt. The Spaniard has withdrawn from tournaments in Barcelona and Madrid due to a wrist injury. Although there is still no official diagnosis, hand injury specialist Dr. Marc Jouvenspan said that recovery could take up to six months.

There is suspicion of tendonitis or ligament injury in the joint.

"There are no guarantees with the joint. It can be repaired with therapy, but it can also take much longer than expected," the doctor said.

"Such injuries can be deceptive - they are painful at first, and later there is a constant discomfort that can last. It can go away in three weeks, but it can last for six months or more," he added.
