Novak Djokovic is returning to the court, after the organizers of the Madrid Masters officially confirmed his participation in the tournament, which begins on April 20th.

The announcement came through a promotional video, in which the Serbian ace prepares to continue the clay court season.

Djokovic played at the Australian Open this year, where he was defeated in the final by Carlos Alcaraz, as well as at the Indian Wells Masters (losing to defending champion Jack Draper in the round of 16), and then skipped the tournaments in Miami and Monte Carlo.

The most decorated tennis player of all time has an excellent record in the Spanish capital, having won the title three times – in 2011, 2016, and 2019.
